Cambodia: Mr.Sam Rainsy meets with Boeng Kak Lake villagers
The opposition CNRP leader visited villagers who have
suffered land disputes in Phnom Penh’s Boeng Kak lake community on Monday
afternoon.
Mr. Sam Raninsy, accompanied by his vice-president Kem Sokha, told
the villagers that he would become the prime minster in this 5th
mandate and promised to return the land they had lost in the area back to them,
or at least to give them proper compensations.
“We demand justice and our land back,” he said to the
villagers. “The land that you have lost must be returned to you, or money must
be paid to you and the amount of money to be paid must equal to the current
price of land.”
