Cambodia: CNRP leaders thank voters in Prey Veng
Cambodian National Rescue Party president Sam Rainsy and his
vice-President Kem Sokha visited their supporter in Prey Veng province’s Sithor
Kandal district on 5 August with nearly 10 thousand people welcoming them.
In the meeting, the two opposition leaders promised not to
let the voters down. “The CNRP has won the election, so if they continue to
steal votes and refuse to recognize our victory, you will hold demonstration,
right? So, I will follow you. We must unite and will not let the thieves cheat
us.” Khem Sokha said in the meeting.
“We must protect our victory. We must not allow the
dictators, the corrupt, the distructors of the nation…. to continue another
five years,” Sam Rainsy said, referring to the ruling CPP.
