Oppositon Party to file Complaint Against Preliminary Election Results

Camboida - The opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) will file a complaint with the National Election Committee against the preliminary results of the July 28 general election which was announced by the committee on 12 August.

According to a senior CNRP official, the complaint will be lodged with the NEC on the afternoon of 14.

 NEC Secretary-General Tep Nitha has said that according to the law, political parties not satisfied with the election results may filed a complaint with the NEC and the Constitutional Council within 72 hours after the official release of the election results made by the NEC on 12 August at 9:00 a.m.

A senior official of the ruling Cambodia People's Party has said recently that his party does not opposition the NEC's preliminary election results.
