Cambodia to Host ASEAN Ministerial Meetings for Social Welfare & Development Next Month

Cambodia – The Kingdom of Cambodia will host the 8^th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting for Social Welfare and Development (AMMSWD), the 4^th ASEAN+3 Ministerial Meeting on Social Welfare and Development and other related meetings from Sept 3 to 7 in Siem Reap province, according to a press release of its Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen will preside over the opening ceremony of these regional meetings, said the press release dated August 15, 2013.

The purposes of the meetings, which are held every three years, are to promote cooperation in the field of social affairs among the ASEAN member countries and China, Japan and Korea.
