Information Ministry Calls on Social Media to Adhere to Professionalism and Morality
Cambodia – The
Ministry of Information issued an appeal on August 15, calling on the media,
especially social media networks, to provide and share news based on facts and
with professionalism and social morality.
In the appeal, the
ministry advised the media to avoid publishing and sharing baseless,
exaggerated, intimidating and inciting news. It also called on its compatriots
to remain calm and to continue their daily lives as usual.
His Majesty Norodom
Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, on August 7, 2013 also issued a Royal message,
calling on the ruling Cambodian People’s Party and the opposition Cambodia
National Rescue Party that had won parliamentary seats in the recent election to
resolve their conflict over the election results by peaceful means, and all his
compatriots to remain calm and maintain national dignity, high national unity
and solidarity.
