Cambodia (Kohker) – Mr. Sam Rainsy, president of the opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party, visited a market and a Buddhist pagoda in Stung Mean Chey commune, Mean Chey district, Phnom Penh capital city this morning.

During the visit, the opposition leader called on vendors and Buddhist monks to participate in a non-violent demonstration that will be held by the opposition party at the Freedom Park on the morning of September 7, 2013.

Sam Rainsy also told reporters that until now there is no any negotiation between the leaders of the ruling Cambodian People’s Party and his CNRP to resolve their election dispute yet. If a solution to the problem could not be found, the CNRP would continue to hold non-violent protests, he said.
