Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force Ships To Visit Cambodia
Cambodia (Kohker) - Three Japanese maritime self-defense
force vessels, “KASHIMA”, “SHIRAYUKI” and “ISOYUKI”, will make a four-day port call
in Cambodia’s coastal province of Preah Sihanouk next week, on the way of their
training cruise in the open sea, according to a press statement of the Embassy
of Japan in Phnom Penh issued on October 2.

(ILO) - 25 September 2013, Bangkok and Phnom Penh - The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and the International Labour Office (ILO) welcome the decision of the Supreme Court of Cambodia to acquit Born Samnang and Sok Sam Oeun who had earlier been convicted of the murder of the trade union leader, Chea Vichea.

Hun Sen: Opposition Party Wants Position As NA President

leaving the National Assembly meeting this morning, reelected Prime Minister
Hun Sen told reporters that recent talks between the Cambodian People’s Party
(CPP) and the Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) ended in a stalemate because
the CNRP wanted the National Assembly’s presidential position.
NA Elects Own Leadership and Cabinet for New Term
Cambodia (Kohker) – The new
National Assembly for the fifth legislature, which consisted of only 68
lawmakers from the ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP), held its first
plenary session this morning for a package vote to elect its leadership and
give a vote of confidence on the new cabinet for the fifth mandate.
